Margaret G. Patton to Present at LSU Law Reunion Weekend CLE

Margaret G. Patton will present at the LSU Paul M. Hebert Law Center's Ethics and Professionalism CLE on Friday, September 11, 2026, the program that opens this year's Law Reunion Weekend in Baton Rouge.

Her presentation, "Everything I Needed to Know About Professionalism I Learned from LSU Tailgating," draws a line between the customs that govern a Saturday in Baton Rouge and the professional standards that sustain a career in a bar as close-knit as Louisiana's. She will be joined on the program by the Hon. Kelly Balfour ('01), who will present "Ethics Jeopardy."

The CLE runs from 2:30 to 4:45 p.m. in Room W210 at the Law Center and offers two hours of free continuing legal education. It is open to members of the reunion classes — 1976, 1986, 1996, 2001, 2006, and 2016 — and to members of the Law Dean's Council. Parking is available at the Union Square Garage.

The program opens a two-day celebration that continues with the Law Reunion Happy Hour from 5 to 7 p.m. at The Club, sponsored by Kean Miller, and the All-Alumni Tailgate and Hats 'n Canes Toast on Saturday, September 12.

Ms. Patton is a 2006 graduate of the LSU Paul M. Hebert Law Center and the founder of Patton Law Firm in Baton Rouge, where her practice focuses on oil and gas and environmental matters. Registration for Law Reunion Weekend is open through LSU Law.
